Day 1 (13.07.20)

Day 1 – The Cross

We’ve missed getting together with the whole school for Worship. Miss Wood has missed your singing and the feeling she gets when you ‘raise the roof’.

We ask that God will bless each of you and your families as you enjoy the six-week holiday together.

Good morning Year 5,

Welcome to your last week in Year 5 crying

We hope you all had a lovely weekend. Let’s try to enjoy our final week of home learning together.

Here are your tasks for today:

English: 10 Things Found in a Teacher’s Pocket

We have lots of random fun activities planned this week. Today we are going to look at a poem written by Ian Mcmillan called “10 Things Found in a Wizard’s Pocket”.

We would like you to write a list of what you might find in a teacher’s pocket…

A real teacher might have… Six sparkly 'Well Done' stickers, An old sweet covered in fluff…

A teacher with super-powers might have…Silencing sprinkles for noisy children… 3 lightning fast tidy-up fairies… Smiles to brighten a dull lesson…

You may choose to draw an outline of a pocket and write your poem inside. Or you may choose to decorate your poem with pictures or a border. We would love to see your finished poems 😊

Maths:   Metric Units

Watch the video and then complete the worksheet:

Year 5 - Week 12 - Lesson 1 - Metric units

This is "Year 5 - Week 12 - Lesson 1 - Metric units" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

We hope you have a great day,

Mrs Canipa and Miss Wood

          😊                             😊
