Day 2 (14.07.20)

Day 2 – Sport

We’re sorry you missed Sports Day. Mrs Canipa loves running round like a headless chicken for the day! Well, maybe not, but she loves seeing you all enjoying sport and having the chance to shine. We’re also disappointed that you weren’t able to complete your block of swimming sessions.

On a brighter note, the new playground is now more-or-less complete and we cannot wait for you to have the chance to run around on it at playtimes (without fear of taking out an infant or two!). Your P.E. lessons will also be much more enjoyable when you can pass a ball, without it rolling down the slope. Mrs Johnson is unbelievably excited!

Good morning our lovely Year 5’s,

We hope you had a good day yesterday, despite all the rain.

We have been busy in school gathering all your books and emptying your trays for you. If you have a sibling in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 you can collect your work today, after 1pm.  If not, then your work will be ready for collection tomorrow afternoon (after 1pm). Please tell your parents to come to the main entrance with a strong carrier bag (or two).

In the meantime, here are some tasks to keep you busy today:

English: I will aim high

Today we would like you to reflect on your time in Year 5 (we know it was cut short but have a think back to the six months we did spend together).

Draw a kite shape on a piece of paper and split it into 4 sections. In each section either write a couple of sentences or draw a picture to represent:

  1. What you enjoyed about this year
  2. What you are looking forward to next year
  3. Your strengths
  4. What you would like to improve.

You may choose to colour or decorate it with a tail and ribbons.

We hope you have a great day,
