Day 5 (17.07.20)

🙁 ☹ 😢

Just a minute…

😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭

🤧

(washing our hands…)

Ok, ready now.

So, here we are. The last day of the school year. Here are your tasks for today…

… only kidding! We’re not setting any work today! Hurrah! Don’t tell your parents though. Just put your head down and look like you’re working really hard when they pass, looking up only briefly to give them your best ‘Aren’t I good?’ cheesy smile. 😇

Of course, you must not do that. You must tell them – truthfully – that you have been given a whole day to reflect on your time in Year 5 and were they to want you to help with jobs around the house, you would have plenty of time to do so.

If they don’t (lucky you!), why not find some time to do a bit of quiet reading, ideally away from all distractions, e.g. television, annoying delightful brothers or sisters, etc. That way, you’d still be using your time productively.

But first… here’s your final message of the week:

Day 5 – Singing

Today would have been our final day together. We would have been sad to wave you all off at the end of the day. Instead we’re having to settle for a virtual ‘wave off’.

We would have sat and sang together in our leavers’ service and felt a lump in our throats for the Year 6’s who are leaving and the class (you) we’re passing on.

Thank you for making our months with you such happy ones.

And now all that’s left for us to say is:

Have a wonderful holiday,

Have lots of fun,

Enjoy time with your family and friends.

Take care,

Stay safe,

And we’ll see you all soon.

With love from,

Miss Wood and Mrs Canipa
