Happy Friday Year 5!
Hope you are all well. It’s the last day before half term and we would just like to say thank you for all your hard work and effort that you have put into your remote learning this half term. We know how difficult it can be and we are so proud of you all. We are missing you greatly and we hope that we can all be back together very soon.
That said, there is one more day before you break up, so here are your tasks before your time off 😊.
As today is the last day before half term, what better way to celebrate than with an arithmetic test. Either print the pages out to write on or answer on paper from the screen. Choose either the Year 4 or Year 5 paper but do try to challenge yourselves – it will be good practice for next year. For those of you who are unsure of which one to choose, have a go at the Year 5 one and if you’re finding it too difficult, stop, and try the Year 4 one.
If we were in school, we would have looked at the life cycles of different animals in more detail and then finished our science unit with an animated video. As you are learning remotely, this would be very difficult to do, so instead have a go at this:
(We would love to see any of your finished projects)
And that’s all for today 😊. We won’t be posting any new work over the half term break but we won’t forget about you! You can still contact us via the contact form on our class page, although it may take us a bit longer than it has been doing for us to reply.
If you do want something to keep you occupied over half term, I have popped a life skills challenge and a ‘Keep Active’ calendar on our class page in the ‘Half Term challenges’ folder.
And finally, we hope you have a fantastic half term break, whatever you are doing. Make sure you take some time out for yourself and make sure you spend some quality time with your family.
Enjoy your week and stay safe,
Mrs Canipa and Miss Wood
