Friday 1st. May

It's May! You are all doing so well with this home learning lark that I've decided to let you have Saturday and Sunday off! Enjoy your weekend!

I hope your mummification went well yesterday. Today we are going to find out about the pyramids built by the ancient Egyptians. Have any of you been to Egypt and seen the pyramids? It's on my bucket list of things to do.

Read through the power point. Use slideshow if you can to get the maximum effect. There are some questions at the end of the presentation for you to answer.

Finish the White Rose work for this week. There is also a family challenge on BBC Bitesize.

This might be a task that is ongoing for a few days. Build a 3D pyramid. You can use cardboard, lego bricks or biscuits. I've seen really good pyramids made from sugar cubes or Weetabix. When I was a kid my mum used to bake coconut pyramids (for us to eat!). You might think of something completely different to construct a pyramid with. Here is an ideas sheet to get your creative juices flowing. Email me a picture if you manage to do the task.
