Good morning Year 5.
We hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. I have made the most of the weather this weekend and enjoyed a BBQ as well as painting Evie and Harry’s climbing frame. It took quite a while but it’s all done now, thank goodness.
Here are your tasks for today, do what you can.
As part of our Amazon Adventure unit, we would have been reading The Explorer by Katherine Rundell. Click on the following document for today’s activity.
This week we are going to continue using the resources provided by White Rose Maths Hub (the link is below). We will be following Week 2 this week.
Please watch the video – Rounding decimals (link below) and then have a go at the follow up activity. The answers are online too for you to check afterwards – no peeking before!
Geography / Topic:
This week we will be continuing our work on the Amazon Rainforest, where you will be choosing which activities you would like to complete. However, for today’s task we would like you to do some research in preparation. Today we will be focusing on rainforest plant life. Plants play a vital role in the rainforest and the entire world – providing much of the world’s oxygen supply.
We would like you to read through the following PowerPoint and then complete the activity below.
Please could you all send Mrs Canipa an email uisng the contact form on our class page. We need an email adress for you all so we can email out resources later on in the week. It just needs to say 'Hello' along with your name but if you have time you could let us know what you have been getting up to.
We hope you have a lovely day.
Mrs Canipa and Miss Wood
