Morning Reception Class,

I hope you all had a good weekend. smiley Are you ready for another fun packed week of learning from home? Don't forget 9am - Joe Wicks on YouTube. I shall be taking part from home this week.

Here are today's challenges.

1. Writing -  Now usually on a Monday morning, we do 'show and tell' sessions where we discuss what we have done over the weekend with our learning partners and then with the rest of the class. Then in our 'My News' books, we draw and write about what we have done over the weekend. Perhaps you could draw me a picture and write a sentence (using your phonics) about something that you have done over the weekend (maybe you have learnt something new at home). Feel free to send me any photographs of your work on Tapestry.

2. Phonics - Below is a PowerPoint of Phase 3 activities. How many activities can you complete in 10 minutes? Over the next week, see if you can complete different activities on this Powerpoint. smiley

Then complete pages 42 and 43 in your Phonics CGP books. Today, we are recapping on the 'or', 'ur' and 'ow' sounds. Can you read the words and sentences correctly? Can you read and answer the questions correctly?

3. Maths - This week, we will be learning about addition. I have attached a dinosaur addition PowerPoint below. Have a look at the number sentences. Can you work out the answers? Perhaps, you would like to write your own number sentences using dinosaurs and numbers?

Watch this Numberblock episode on addition:-

Then complete pages 9 and 10 in your Maths CGP books on addition.

4 (Optional). Watch the story of 'Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs' on YouTube. Then complete one of the home learning activities below.

Please continue to send me photographs and videos of your home learning on Tapestry. It is lovely to see what you are learning at home.

Hope you have a lovely day. Miss you lots.

Love

Miss Farnworth.smiley
