Morning Reception Class ,
Today, it is the 4th of May (or may the 4th be with you - Star Wars joke haha)! I hope that you all had a lovely weekend! I am missing you all so much!
Here are the suggested challenges for today:-
Starter - Recap on the following sounds 'ee', 'oo', 'ow' and 'oi' by watching the videos below. If you haven't got access to the internet, then ask an adult to write the sounds 'ee', 'oo', 'ow' and 'ow' on pieces of paper and ask them to test you on them. Perhaps, you could place them around a room and an adult could shout the sound out and you could try and find the correct sound.

Can you practise reading and writing the tricky words above? Then, have a try at pages 66 and 67 in your Phonics CGP book. Can you write the words with the sounds 'ee', 'oo', 'ow' and 'oi' in and can you spot the tricky word 'like'?
2. Maths - Reception have now been signed up for Sumdog. I have put the login details on Tapestry. You will need to ask an adult to login to Tapestry to find your details. Then go on the following website:-
You will need to type in the login details from Tapestry. Sumdog has lots of maths games to help your child develop and build on their maths skills at home. Please login and have a look at Sumdog. (Parents: If you can't login to Tapestry or you have forgotten your password, then please do email me and I can send you the login details for both Tapestry and Sumdog in an email to you).
This week, we are learning about halving and sharing. Have a look at the Powerpoint below on halving shapes. Then, have a try at completing page 18 in your CGP book on halving shapes.
3. If you are up for doing a challenge today, have a look at the challenge section for this week on the school website under week 5. You can choose any of the challenges. Enjoy!
Keep smiling and stay safe!
