Morning  Reception Class,


How are you all doing? I hope you are all well and are enjoying the sunshine. cool I spent a long time outside yesterday with the small group of children that were in School. What a beautiful day it was! I am missing all of you - School is far too quiet without Reception Class! Thank you to those children who have sent me photographs of your home learning. Your photographs and videos are making me smile. I am so proud of all of you smiley!  



Well done to Eva and Rupert who have made their own work stations! 

Well done to Rupert for making a fantastic rainbow!

Well done to Hope who has been a busy bee painting hand prints, making patterns, exploring capacity and exercising in the garden!

Well done to Teddie who has been improving his pencil control, completing number work and keeping safe whilst exercising!

Well done to Delia - May who has been a busy bee completing number and Phonics work, reading, making artwork and exercising with Joe Wicks! 

Well done to Ava  who has been working hard at her Phonics! She has also made a fantastic robot and has been exercising with Joe Wicks!

Well done to Nathan for super number work and for practising his letter formation using water and a paint brush in the garden!

Well done to Fraser who has been a busy bee making natural artwork, completing super dinosaur counting work, making yummy food in the kitchen and taking part in daily exercise outside and with Joe Wicks!


I am such a proud teacher! smiley A big well done and thank you to your parents who are supporting you with your home learning! You are all amazing! If you have given permission on Tapestry for any pictures to go on the School facebook page, I will post them tomorrow.


Here are the challenges for today:-


Phonics - You can either complete pages 38 and 39 in your Phonics CGP book. Today, we are recapping on the 'ai', 'ee' and 'igh' sounds.




You may wish to login to PhonicsPlay and complete the make a match game phase 3 for 'ai', 'ee' and 'igh'. Can you match the words with the correct picture? This is also a good memory game. The website for PhonicsPlay is:


Maths - Complete pages 31 and 32 in your CGP Maths book. Today we are recapping on 2D shapes. Can you correctly name the common 2D shapes? Can you describe 2D shapes using mathematical vocabulary? You may wish to go on a 2D shape hunt in your house or in your garden. Could you make any 2D shapes out of natural resources in the garden? You could send me some photographs of the shapes that you find. smiley Here is the 2D shape song that we sing in class. You may wish to have a listen to it to remind you of the 2D shape names.


Optional Challenges - As a School, we have set some challenges. They are on the remote learning general page of our website (before you click on your year group). You may wish to try and complete a challenge this afternoon. Good luck! smiley
