Morning Reception Class,

I hope that you are all well and are enjoying the sunny weather! I hope that you are managing to spend some time outdoors either in your garden or going for a long walk. smiley

Here are the suggested activities for today:-

1. Phonics - Start by having a try at pages 24 and 25 in your Phonics CGP book. These are recapping on sounds that we learnt earlier in the year. Remember to use your cursive handwriting when forming your letters or writing words or sentences. smiley

Today, we are recapping on the 'ar' sound. Can you read the words on the YouTube video below? :-

Then, have a try at the following worksheets on the 'ar' sound.

2. Writing - Below is a document produced by the English team at Lancashire County Council. They have come up with some Literacy lessons for Reception Class. The theme this week is 'Over the Rainbow'. You can pick any of the activities on the grid that you wish to do today. Remember to use your phonics when  writing any words, phrases or sentences. Please feel free to send me any work that you do. I would love to see which activities you have done. I will post this grid up every day. It is up to you whether you want to do parts of it or not.  Parents: Please note - these activities are only suggestions. Please only choose activities which you think your child would enjoy doing at home. smiley
3. Maths - This week, we have been learning how to tell the time. Below are some activities to test what you have learnt about telling the time. smiley
If you are up for a challenge, have a look at the 'Topic Challenges for this week' section under week 8 on the remote learning for Reception. Feel free to send me any photographs of any learning at home.  smiley

Keep working hard! I am so proud of you all! Keep sending your pictures through of your home learning on Tapestry. They are making me smile! Missing you all lots! smiley

Love

Miss Farnworth. smiley
