Hello to all of our Year 2 children, parents and carers!

Welcome to a new year of exciting learning at Christ Church.

Hello!

We are Mrs Gaynor and Miss Wood - we are your teachers this year.

Miss Nuttall will be our Teaching Assistant all week.

Mrs Gaynor will be teaching at the beginning of each week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).

Miss Wood will be teaching at the end of each week (Thursday and Friday).

Our door is always open, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have a question or a concern. You can use our Year 2 Teams account, email, telephone or grab us on the yard after school.

P.E. days will be Monday (with Mrs Gaynor) and Thursday (with Mrs Johnson) so please ensure your child has their P.E. kit in school, hair is tied up, earrings are either removed or taped up.

We will be sending homework on Friday each week this year. Please can completed homework be returned to school the following Thursday to be checked and for reading books to be changed. Reading Folders should be in brought into school every day.

Welly boots and water proof trousers would also be great for Opal play as we enter Autumn too.

  Reading is so important and is at the heart of all of our learning in school. Here is a list of fifty high quality books that are age 6 and 7 appropriate to share with your child.

 We also recommend the Topmarks Maths website. You will find games that will help your child develop recall of number facts such as number bonds. Here is a link to the web page.
