How does the school’s theologically rooted Christian vision enable pupils and adults to flourish?
At Christ Church we regularly review:
- Internal School data
- School Performance Data against National Data
- Financial Benchmarking Reports
- Reports about the school from external advisers
- OFSTED inspection reports
- SIAMS inspection reports
- Parent Questionnaire Data
- Pupil Questionnaire Data
- Wellbeing of staff and pupils
- Governors annual review of our Church school vision/long term plan
We consider this information in the context of our vision:
As a result we believe that the school’s work, driven by our theologically rooted vision, successfully serves our community well, enabling all to flourish.
We know this because…

- In this school, pupils are the priority and Christian love is at the heart of all decisions.
Our School Adviser noted:
- September 2024: ‘The leadership of the school is secure and experienced and has been effective in driving the school forward over time. The aspirational Headteacher and his senior team have an accurate and robust understanding of the strengths and areas for further development within school. Self-evaluation judgements accord with the available evidence and leaders retain the confidence of governors and the community’
Our Diocesan Adviser noted:
- Oct 2024: This school has a rich and tailored curriculum rooted in its Christian Vision “I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will have the light of life and will never walk in darkness.” John 8:12. Pupils are rooted in a strong faith culture and high academic expectations enabling them to thrive and succeed, knowing that Jesus is with them, every step of their journey. The curriculum promotes high aspirations, develops resilience and provides opportunities for stillness and reflection. Children are encouraged to be agents for change and take social action.
